God’s love is the foundation of who He is and why He does what He does. This is the confidence that we have in Him and how we know that we can trust our lives in His hands. More on resting in God’s love here. Let’s begin with:
Is God’s Love Conditional?
No, God’s love is not conditional. It’s the opposite. There is nothing you can do to earn God’s love. It’s the only value that everyone needs but must be given away freely in order for it to be genuine. Romans 5 and eight tell us even when we were sinners, Christ died for us. His sights were set on us long before we ever even knew that we needed Him. All we need to do is receive it.
You are loved, you are wanted, and you matter To God.
The enemy desires to sow seeds of doubt about this. How does He do this?
By planting what I like to call, false evidence, starting when we are very young. He uses the actions of others and his own falsehoods to sow two major lies.
1. You are unlovable.
2. God’s love cannot be trusted.
But nothing can be further from the truth. Unlike us, imperfect humans, God’s ability to care for us is whole and complete. Even Complete enough to heal if we would just lean into it.
Which is why we need to fill our hearts and minds with God’s love. The Bible says that Faith comes by hearing and hearing by his word. So let’s hear the word today as we take a look at:
